"Allah has promised to the believers - men and women, Gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein forever, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of 'Adn (Eden Paradise). But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allah. That is the supreme success"
Jamīatul Mumināt welcome women of all ages and backgrounds and maintain a regular cycle of activities at their base in Leicester, UK, whilst also having it's Aalimat representatives across the globe. Jamīatul Mumināt stands within the Ahl-ul-Sunnah wal-Jamā`ah theological tradition, whose riches it seeks to explore, and draws from that tradition an insistence, not only on the foundational importance of faith for theological reasoning, but also on the place of spiritual and personal development alongside faith. In pursuance of this the organisation provides courses and workshops - both online and offline learning opportunities that facilitate classical Islamic learning, personal reflection and spiritual nurturing for women.
Women play a fundamental role in the Muslim family which is the cornerstone of a stable society. Throughout human history, women have played an exemplary role in the development, propagation and preservation of our beautiful faith. As they are the preservers of society, Jamaitul Muminat support women as they embrace their roles as students, professionals, parents, partners and citizens of the wider community.
From the loyalty and wisdom of Khadījatul Kubra RA to the sacrifices of Sumayya RA from the scholarly works of ’Āisha Siddiqa RA to the modesty and motherhood of Fātimatul Zahra RA, history has produced a large number of remarkably outstanding Mumināt, who have excelled in their knowledge and empowerment of future generations.
In the words of a famous Egyptian poet:
الأم مدرسة أذا أعددتها اعتدت شعبا طيب الأعراق
A mother is like a school, if you prepare her, then you have prepared a whole nation.
Jamīatul Mumināt recognises the differences that women make to society. As the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:
النساء شقائق الرجال
Women are the twin halves of Men (Tirmidhi 113)
Our aim is to provide a unique platform by women for women, providing educational activities, and services in accordance to the Qur'ān & Sunnah under the guidance of scholars. We pray that our Mumināt benefit from such activities and strive to be a service for the Ummah.
May the Lord Almighty guide us in this endeavour, and make this a successful venture for our Ākhirah. Āmīn.
